There are a variety of Wallace marks and I was wondering if anyone had any information about which mark was used during what time frame. Here is a link for a list of the Wallace marks:

I am interested because I have a master nut dish with this Wallace mark. Any information would be appreciated. Thank you.

Your mark is that of R.W. Wallace & Sons, which became Wallace Silversmiths in 1956. Your mark was used on sterling items in about 1897. Wallace did not use "date marks" as did a few of the American makers of the late 19th and early 20th centuries so some guesswork is necessary.

Thanks Uncle Vic for the information. Wouldn't it be great if all items had date marks?!?!

Thanks again,

Kelly
