I have a pair of candlesticks that have 3 markings on them, one is a walking lion (which looks like the English walking lion. In the middle is a fancy W or M, and on the left of that is what looks like a crown with a jewel in it. Below these markings is the words Sterling Silver. Below that is C14 and below that is the word weighted. They are very heavy and I would love to know what kind they are and what they are worth. Thank you.
Hi there mbaglin - your candlesticks are American, made by the Watson Co. of Attlesboro, MA, and the mark you describe was used after 1910. Try posting a picture now as the site has been fixed to allow pictures again. Watch ebay and look at the completed items there to get an idea of value.
