My wife and I received a silver platter from her mother. I recognize the seal of the Japanese Imperial Navy, but other than that I don't know much about it. It is from Walker and Hall. It has an initial by it of AH and a highly decorative border. It is slightly worn but polished up nice. Could anyone perhaps tell me any history behind this or it's origins?

I can't tell you very much except that it is electroplate rather than silver.
