Help? Two silver brooches donated to our pet rescue.... (#2)

This is the second piece donated to our pet rescue. It’s a marcasite pin that’s 2" wide. The back is stamped STERLING and has the name GROE…SNER (looks like.) Can’t read the middle letters. Any ideas?
