hi i have an old mug and i was just wondering about it the bottom of it reads
MAPPIN BROTHERS
66&67 CHEAPSIDE
220 REGENT STREET
AND SHEFFIELD
2147
and there is a sun with face on it

Your mug is electroplate as it does not have hallmarks. Mappin Brothers were at those addresses between about 1890 and 1903 when the company was amalgamated into Mappin & Webb.
