sheffield silver plate 1826

ive recently inherited some sheffield silver i think plate dated 1826 and marked R.B&J Crookes Sheffield there are a few pieces and we were wondering about putting them through an auction but obviously wanted a decent price as a reserve.

I am not familiar with RB&J Crookes, but I have doubts about your date of 1826. Some pictures of your pieces together with the marks on them would be a help.

1826 is not a date - it’s most probably a pattern number. The items are plated, as you thought, rather than solid. Value will depend on exactly how much of a set you have. If those are all then I would guess £10-£40. Add another £10 or so for any other piece.
