I have a spoon which is in the shape of a spade and on the stem there are the words Zuiderzee-werken and the number 90. In the bowl there is an impressed design of an earthmover machine putting rocks into place. Can anybody help in identifying the spoon? _________________ Have spoon of c1932 in the shape of a spade marked zuiderzee - werken shewing earth moving tractor in the bowl. The number 90 is stamped on rear. |

I think it must be a Dutch silverplated sugarspoon.
The design shows the 'Zuiderzeewerken'... how they build a dike trough the Zuidersea (afsluitdijk) and a part became the IJsselmeer (lake). Later on they made dikes and 'polders'.. thats new land. |
