I bought this coffe pot rather quickly and wonder what kind of silver plate will not actually have a mark besides the number 0491 on the bottom. The seller stated this coffee pot was Antique English Silverplate Coffee Pot Circa 1860 and also stated that it is common for items produced in England in this era to be unmarked. I am an beginner and wonder about the validity of her statement. I bought this piece because I thought it was gorgeous but also don't want to make the mistake of buying something that is not genuine as it is represented.
