Hi,
I have a large sterling silver sugar tongs with shell bowls hallmarked for Glasgow in 1846. Maker’s mark is M.T which I have been unable to identify. I have tried to search online with the Edinburgh/Glasgow Assay office but found nothing. Any ideas? Maybe a provincial maker who assayed his work in Glasgow?
PS: I wont pain you with any pictures because my camera just is not up to producing quality detailed shots.
