Heritage Auction Galleries is about to launch a monthly Internet-only Silver Auction through our website, HA.com. Here's the scoop:

-2nd Wednesday of the month, 7:00 p.m. CT

-First one is auction #5045 on September 8

-Reserves set at melt value

-A wide variety of manufacturers represented: American, English, Continental and Mexican

-Sterling and coin silver

-Loads of flatware, as well as holloware, smalls, jewelry and many unique pieces

-Mostly from the late 19th to mid-20th century

-Great resource for finding antique and discontinued flatware patterns (brides welcome!)
