Georgian knife

Hi again Daniel. This query relates to a bone-handled, silver-bladed knife, the hallmarks on which are not particularly distinct. As you’ll see from the photographs the lion gardant(?) and Georgian duty mark are evident, but I’m struggling with what I presume is a maker’s mark on the left. Can you give me any clues? Best wishes from from a warm southern clime. Peter

Daniel … I’ve just realized, this is probably the small articles date stamp for Sheffield 1816-17! (To myself … I must look more diligently before asking questions!) Cheers. Peter

Hi again Peter.
You are correct, it is the shefield mark for 1816.

All the best
Daniel
