I just found this serving platter and can't figure out the marks.The crown looks like sheffield followed by an S with a line thru it .this is followed by what looks like B-E or C and finally P. All in what I think is a gothic type.Any clues or help would be greatly appreciated.[/img]

That's one of the marks used by the Goldfeder Silverware Company, Yalesville, Connecticut. Founded in 1932.
I think the letters are SGEP (Sol Goldfeder, ElectroPlated).
