Help with identifying a mark

Please help me with identifying a mark that is on a punch cup. I have the whole set including the punch bowl, the tray and 12 punch cups. The cups only have a crown with a cross on the top. The bowl and tray are not marked.

Hi there Josiea and thanks for joining us. I cannot read the mark in your photo, but the American maker Manchester Silver Co. of Providence, R.I. used the mark of a crown (at an angle) with a vertical cross through the crown and out the top. You can view the Manchester mark on any of the hallmark sites such as www.925-1000.com and compare it to yours.

Manchester only produced sterling silver goods, so you should look for the word “sterling” near the mark if its Manchester. The tray and bowl are probably from another maker and silver plated.

Uncle Vic
