I am interested in knowing the history of a large silver spoon handed down in the family. I attach the hallmark. Does anyone know the meaning and where the spoon comes from? It is also initialled. If that is important, I can attach. It is in a form of cursive I cannot read.
I read the initials as J C M M but I don’t recognise them. In the absence of hallmarks or any indication of fineness we have to assume that yout spoon is, at best, electroplate.
