Hello, hope you can help. I have been trying to find out about the marks on this spoon and have been unable to match it to anything but 1774 (B?) and William Fearn. But now I see it as WP not WF or maybe it is not silver…how embarrasing! Please tell me so I can stop searching!! Thanks.

This is an electroplate mark of William Page & Co of Birmingham so not silver I fear.
I spent a while looking through several message threads on your site, I came to a similar conclusion and assumed it was not silver markings. At least I know what it is now! Thankyou.
