silverware ID

I have some silverware that i believe to be plated marked WMrodgers with what appeares to be a new york yankee symbol or bird… on one side and a star on the other with an IS off to the right…

I was wondering if anyone had any info on the silver content of this…

Im failing to get a readable picture…

here one

Hi there and thanks for joining us. Try again on posting your photo. The “IS” may be International Silver Co. If its silver plated, the silver content is near zero…silver plating is an electrical process in which a very thin layer of pure silver is coated over a less expensive metal such as copper. On the other hand, “sterling” silver is solid silver of 92.5% purity.

A photo of the marks will help us identify it for you.

Uncle Vic
