I have a masonic item with the following hallmarks. I have worked out it is London 1916 but cannot track down the maker "H&WS". I've found one suggestion in an internet site but nothing to corroborate the suggestion.

Can anyone help.

Many thanks,
Kevin

Hi Kevin, thanks for joining us on silver-collector.
The makers mark is that of H & W Spilling. Their mark was first registered in 1906.

Best regards
Daniel

Daniel,

Many thanks for the information its great to have the full picture. H & W Spilling do seem to be a little elusive and there appears to be very little information on the internet about them I'll do a bit of digging elsewhere.

Thanks again for identifying the maker.

Kind regards,
Kevin
