Post subject: German Silver Question

Hi,

I have a set of German Sterling Silver that I bought. It is marked Zwilling, Sollingren, Henckel and the marks are clear.

The set was pre WWII or made during the war. However, the company seems to have quit making sterling after the war and I can't find ANY other examples by them. I don't know if it was making sterling for the Third Reich only or what. (Given Germany's collapse in 1945, it is wonderful the company survived to make such quality pieces as it does today.)

There is also a unique butterfly pattern engraved on each piece.

Would this be the right place to post pictures?

Many thanks,
Julie
