I was helping a friend identify the pattern and material of some spoons she got at an estate sale.
They’re the Inauguration pattern of National Silver Co.
The back stamp reads “National Silver Company” and is followed by a crown with the initials K.E.S. I did some research on the net and found that this stands for “King Edwards Silver”, but I can find no data on what this marking signifies.
Is it a retailer? A British ‘edition’ of this American pattern?
