it is a A. W. Co. WALTHAM
The marks indicate that the watch case is stering silver (lion passant) and was assayed in Birmingham (anchor) in the 1888/89 assay year (date letter “o”). The sponsor’s mark, AB, is that of Alfred Bedford the British principal of the Waltham Watch Co, an American company.
