I have been trying to find out something about this Cross Country Skiing medal.

It has been in my family for many years but my grandfather passed away 40 years ago without telling any of us the story behind it.

I now have the medal and was wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction as to where I might be able to research this.

The identifying marks on the back are K.S., then a crown, then 813H, then an A with a line across the top and a dot on top of that and finally an X4.

Any help you could give me would be greatly appreciated.
