Suspect fake marks

Could anyone help me identify these marks? I got a glass bottomed tankard in a Scottish auction job lot of pewter and noticed these marks. I’ve tried to look them up and am fairly convinced that they’re fake.

The first mark is a lion rampant (Scotland)
The second would appear to be a shield with a sword(!) inside ???
The final mark appears to be T&C

Well, they’re certainly not Scottish silver marks, or anything like, apart from the lion rampant, so they aren’t fake. As you bought the mug in a pewter auction they are most likely real pewter marks. A quick Google reveals that T&C are the pewterers Townsend & Compton, a London company, or their successors.

Thanks for your reply. I wasn’t even aware that pewter was marked.
