Im not sure if this beautiful silver plate tea pot is an original christopher dresser or a later copy.
I’m not too fussed about the value either way but this seemed like the best place to post…

The registration mark certainly shows the correct era - made (by my calculations) 9th Oct 1878.
Whether it’s a copy or not is beyond me, but if original would certainly be a museum piece.

I know from my research they made copies (not fakes), but my understanding is that all the copies were stamped with an identification mark so not to be confused with the originals…this does not have one of those identification marks.
I’ll keep looking, hopefully someone else knows more about them???
