this is a “silver waterline replica of USS Constitution with gold cannon, billet head, cabin structure and other trim. She is hollow within with rigging.”
This model was issued by The Maritime Collectors Society, Ltd./The Heirloom Collectors Guild, Ltd. From New York City in 1980. It was produced to commemorate the 350th anniversary of the city of Boston. It was sold for $5000 with a certificate of authenticity. 350 numbered and registered models were made at the time, the wood and copper are from USS Constitution.
