Hi

I have got a set of silver tea spoons
As far as I know it is produced in sheffield in 1927
Can anybody tell me who produced the spoons ?
where can I read about the history of the company G Ltd.
I tried to find in Internet but without success

Hi,

I have a teapot with the same stamp as above 'G Ltd' and the number 53576 and 10.

There is also a hand engraved capital 'R'

Can anyone tell me if this item is Silver, Silver plated or just crap? Embarassed

Any help, much appreciated.

The teapot looks silverplate to me. Isn't there nickel showing on the top of the handle? (the yellowy colour) - thats the base metal showing through where the plate has been rubbed off.

If it has exactly the same G ltd mark but none of the other marks then this also suggests that it is plate.
