Hi - amongst items my Mum bought to NZ from the UK in 1950 were 3 silver spoons. They may be solid silver (a magnet won't attach to them) but I can't find much information on the hallmarks. I've attached a photo and would really appreciate some assistance if possible. Thanks in anticipation.

I'm sorry to have to tell you that your spoons are electroplated and not silver. The manufacturer was a company which had several different names but the principal was Alfred Browett. You can read a bit more about the company here.

Hi and thanks very much for such a quick response. I appreciate all the information you have provided and the effort you've gone to in putting all that together.
Best regards
Barry
