Hi,

I am very interested in hallmarks and their meanings. I would like to know what the marks on my spoon and tongs are please and possibly a date. I have attached a photo, the spoon is on the left and the tongs on the right.

Thank you.

Description:Spoon left, Tongs right.

The marks which you illustrate are both electroplate marks of William Page & Co of Birmingham. So your spoon and tongs are unfortunately not silver. It is difficult to date electroplate but these probably date from the very late 19th century.
