i tried all morning, i have no clue. my eyes hurt from trying to read it. I have yet to clean the piece except a spit shine to see what was under the tarnish.

looks like a candy dish , has a lion or rampart or something like it in center of dish

bottom stamp looks like a symbol, o or a g and an x ? i have a new found appreciation for your expertise! thanks!
