I recently acquired a knife and fork made by Martin Hall & Co Ltd. I’ve tried to find information regarding the style but I can’t find a picture of this anywhere. After researching the marks I believe it is from 1899. It has RMRH, crown, lion, G. Pictures are attached below. I would appreciate any information regarding these.
With the serrated top edge of the knife & the 3 tined fork, I would suggest they are the remains of a set of fruit knives. (Serrated edge for the rind of an orange perhaps )
You obviously know the blade is electroplated, with the collar sterling silver.
Little info but hopefully helpful
Regards
John
