British Sterling Mark? Rampant Lion

Hi guys! I’d love your help telling if this mark is British and if it means sterling? I think it might be the crowned leopard head, which stands for London, right? But does the Lion mark fit England’s lion mark meaning 925? Anyone recognize the maker? Thanks for your help!

This is definitely not British silver. I’m pretty sure that CSC would be an American company but I can’t give you a name. I would expect that if it were silver it would be marked “sterling”. In the absence of that it is more than likely electroplated.

The style of lettering certainly indicates the silverplate mark of Crown Silver Company of Brookline Ma, operating between 1935 & 1950. However, not with the symbols as shown here.
Just an idea.
