JB mark on silver helmet cream jug

My wife and just purchased this Georgian cream jug at an estate sale. Its only mark is the initials JB, in cursive form. We thought it might be American, because of the lack of all the standard British silver marks, but honestly we don’t know. Any help would be much appeciated.

I solved this riddle myself. The mark is of Israel Bartlett (1748-1838), born in Newburyportt, MA, where he apprenticed with Samuel Moulton. He moved to Haverhill, MA, after marrying and later served two terms in the Massachusetts Senate.
