Would appreciate any help with this silver plated covered bowl I found in my parents house. The marking are symbols. Does that mean it is English silver?

Your are correct in thinking that the bowl is silver plated, but it’s American, not English (there is no simple method of discovering nationality from the type of mark). The maker is E G Webster & Sons of Brooklyn, New York.
