This is a 10" high Gorham silver over glass and woven basket bottle made between 1898 and 1907. It has the Gorham marks of the lion, anchor and antique "G". It is number D 1141, which is consistent with their D ware (silver over glass) produced between the dates mentioned. The top stopper is marked "sterling", which is also typical of the other D ware I have seen. I have seen only one being offered for $1000.00, a collector has mentioned seeing two one of which sold for $425.00. These were discontinued after 1907. Any ideas of worth? It is in very good condition.

I'm glad for this site, although no one has been able to help with my last post. It is interesting and educational to look at the other items.

Thank You.
