Hi Daniel

Can you confirm the hallmarks are for Aberdeen and a date, also the maker (I believe it dates to 1871?

Hi again Trevor,
What a lovely mark!
It is indeed for Aberdeen, and the makers mark is that of William Jamieson, who was registered as working from 1806-1840. May I ask why you thought it was 1871?

Thank you once again for the research/confirmation

I thought perhaps 1871 after refering to 'jackson's pocket edition' page 168, the Aberdeen
mark looked similar to the one mentioned as being in use from 1871.
