I know what these are but can anyone identify where and when they were made? The mark may be a well rubbed down crown and the letters seem to be NOXI but the end tails off over the edge of the hinge.

Any help welcome!

Your picture of the mark is upside-down.
That's a silverplate mark used by James Dixon & Sons, Sheffield, England..

You're welcome.
The "Made in England" stamp appears on items made since c.1920.
Don't know how long James Dixon & Sons produced silverplate.
