Hi,
In my opinion what you have is a mark from Sheffield 1818. Sheffield adopted the plan of combining the town mark (crown) and the date letter (i) particularly though not exclusively on smaller items. The maker/sponsor AH could be one of a couple depending on the item/style/etc. Sometimes the crown was above the date letter and sometimes below it depending upon the cycle.

Thank you very much i had just discovered the very same while researching on the net, i had never seen a mark like this before and was most puzzled. Once again silvertt thank you for taking the time to help much appreciated.

The maker is Aaron Hadfield. This mark was registered on March 9th 1818.
