Can anyone help me id the hallmark on this ring?....Found in glasgow scotland in aforest about 10ins down TJSP ,LION , CASTLE??? C THANKS FOR TRYING

Hi there,
The marks indicate Edinburgh 1977 but I can't help with the maker I'm afraid.

thanks silvertt wasnt sure if it was as old as i hoped...any ideas on where i could look up makers marks?

Hi your makers mark I believe is Thomas James Steel Plenderleith
