Hi guys.....

Well I am stumped, this is a large silver fork with the bottom tine being over sized. It is clearly marked 900 on the reverse and has a monogram on H.A.O, front, so far so good... but the mark ( makers mark or hallmark ) has me scratching my head. It appears to be a pictograph of a little guy sitting on a pedestal holding a globe of sorts. Got me ?!?! The fork while pretty big ( 75 grams ) is a very simple design, looks kind of modern, kind of American, except that it is 900 and not sterling but I cant find the other mark anywhere. Any hints

Hello. Since it is marked 900 my guess is it might be continental silver and not American, Have you tried this site: www.925-1000.com They have listings of marks from other European countries where your piece might be from. Hope this helps.
