Hello everyone. This may be a stupid question, but is there a type of brush that could be used with polish to clean more intricate areas of silver? Even a soft baby toothbrush seems too abrasive to me. Does anyone have any thoughts? Thanks. |

Hi there Kelly - yes, there is a brush made just for silver. It has a wooden handle and horsehair bristles that will not scratch. I use the ones made by Hagerty and they cost about $10, but last a very long time.

Kelly & Uncle Vic,
An additional point is to use water whenever you can when removing dried polish. This will dilute the polish and aid in its removal, also causing less scratching. _________________ As a silver restoration & conservation specialist, I'm happy to answer any silver-related questions not found on my Web site at http://www.hermansilver.com |
