Yesterday I posted an inquiry about a candle snuffer I received as a gift. I was unable to attach a phot of the snuffer because the size of the photo was too large. My husband subsequently figured out how to make it smaller. Here's two photos, front and back.
The little man/boy is incredibly detailed right down to the buttons on his jacket and the band across his back that holds his pouch. It is incised with 3 stars. We believe it to be not an English piece in spite of the hallmarks. To me there is someting vaguely military about his clothing, but the violin is not known to be a military instrument.
Any information is appreciated.
