Any information welcome & appreciated

Found this in my 99 yr old fathers belonging; apparently it has his father’s first wife’s jewellery box, however she died giving birth. My grandfather remarried & my grandmother ‘inherited’ the item. No record is known of “Florrie’s” surname or any other relevant information & Dad is the remaining survivor of that family tree. Given Dad was born in 1925, I assume this was a gift to Florrie on her Wedding to my Grandfather (John Albert) on 28.2.13, the day of his first marriage.
As we are from NSW (Australia) I 'm not sure where he could have purchased this from as I am unaware my Grandfather travelled to USA. I will be trying to research “Births, Deaths & Marriage” records i Australia, as I would love to try to return this to any existing family member. However, the main reason for posting this on this site, is to find out if there is anyway I can trace the no. 5704 stamped on the base?

Many thanks in advance for any help; I’m new at this so, sincere apologies if I have done this incorrectly!

Hello, your last picture isn’t good, but I believe I saw “silver plate” mark. The number 5704 isn’t important. If you clean the bottom, the mark will be more visible, use a metal polish, if you don’t have one, an alternative is to use toothpaste.

So sorry I didn’t explain this; it says “Made & guaranteed by” on the outside circle & inside 'Wicox Silver Plated Co " & below is hard to determine but I think M DENN (should it be Made in??) & under that “U S America &” underneath that again “5704”

5704 would be a pattern or design number private to Wilcox who are no longer in business so their records probably no longer exist.

I believe was made between 1867 and 1921.
