These makers marks or possibly hallmarks appear on a plate handle that is probably 80+ years old (we think). Anyone any idea what they refer to? Thanks.
Your first picture is upside down. It reads EPNS - for electroplated nickel silver. The second picture is of the manufacturers’ initials - J&RG for Joseph and Richard Griffin of Birmingham who were active c1890-c1925.
