Very new to collecting and found this hand engraved platter with some type of lion centered. Looked for hours on national identifier Mark’s from countless countries and found nothing close.

This is electroplate, not silver. It was made by Oxford Silversmiths Co of New York, probably in the mid-20th century. The seated lion engraving would have been commissioned by the original owner.
