Can someone help identify ladle

Silver Ladle

Hi can someone help identify this silver Ladle.

It is 18 cm long ( not long enough for a soup ladle I think.)
    It is the fiddle shape.

This is the hallmark on the back.

Hi there,
I’m pretty sure the marks are the trademark of James Dixon & Sons on their silverplate i.e. not sterling silver. As to its function, given the length I would suggest a sauce ladle.
Hope this helps.
