I have platter that I believe to be silver. It states King George but could that be a manufacturer name? I am having trouble identifiying it. Enlcosed is a picture of the hall mark or logo. There seems to be a number engraved above it but its faint I think its 6A3200K ? Any help determining the value and origin would be appreciated.

The manufacturer of your platter is Dodge Inc of Los Angeles. I believe that King George is possibly a pattern name as there is an illustration of the Dodge mark here with “Queen Victoria” beneath it. As there is no indication that the platter is sterling we have to assume that it is plated and as such will not have much commercial value. I suggest you check out eBay completed auctions for similarly sized electroplated platters to get an idea of likely value.
