I have this carnelian butterfly brooch with a mark I can’t find online. I think it says HE, but whose initials are they?? Any help would be much appreciated.

So I take it all three marks are on the butterfly broach. Are there any more? Why do you think the main stones are carnelian/cornelian? Do you think they are heat-treated? Are the pearls synthetic or real? And what are the stones surrounding the reddish main stone decoration?

If I had the answers to all your questions, I wouldn’t have posted on his forum, lol. The stones surrounding the edges of the butterfly are Marcasites. I believe the pearls to be real. What I need to know is who the maker of the brooch is.

Marcasite was used as a diamond substitute in Victorian times especially in Art Deco work.
So knowing that helps identify a period in which the maker might have operated.
You seem a tad tetchy I am asking rather than answering questions. The questions are designed to identify product and hence time lines not tick you off. That was just a collateral consequence.
Absent a handy dandy catalogue with your mark clearly ascribed in it or tangental data from adverts or other paper trace, one is frequently reliant upon observations of the product to identify what it is, where it was made, when and perhaps even for whom.
Clearly your patience for this sort of inquiry is limited and I shall not trespass further on your good offices.
