Is there a household lotion or potion that’s good for cleaning Silver without harming it or having to fork out on expensive cleaning solutions !!! . Also is there a decent liquid solution which you can submerge your silver in that will lift or loosen the filth that gets right into the hallmarks and detail on patterns !!! 
The short answer is: No. Good quality silver polish is best and it really doesn’t cost a lot - it’s certainly a lot cheaper than the potential loss of value due to using “cheaper” short cuts. Silver dip will clean out hallmarks but it should be used sparingly as it will erode the silver. If you do use silver dip it’s best to go over the piece again with a silver polish.
