I have recently bought this silver plated tankard at a thrift shop. I am having trouble with decifering the hallmark. The tankard is made by Elkinton & Co. The object is engraved and states: “Old Holborn Bars” and the shield states: “H F” which I suppose stands for Henry Finch. Finch was one of the owners of the pub and died in 1862. Can someone help me date this object?
