Looking for hallmark
This is electroplated so the mark is a manufacturer’s mark, not a hallmark. Clearly the manufacturer is Elkington & Co of Birmingham. Normally it is not possible to date electroplate but a very small handful of manufacturers devised their own date-coding system and here we see Elkington’s date letter N for 1899.
