I have a silver serving spoon and would like to identify the hallmark. Can you advise and is is worth anything? Thank you
This is a trade mark of John Gilbert & Co of Birmingham. Your spoon is at best electroplate and may be only nickel silver (i.e. an alloy with no silver in it). Unfortunately it is pretty much worthless.
